1. ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੀਕ ਅੱਪੜੇ!

1. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
|
|
2. ਮੇਰੇ ਔਖ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਲੁਕਾ, ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਝੁਕਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਹ!

2. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
|
|
3. ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਤਾਂ ਧੂੰਏਂ ਵਾਂਙੁ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਬਾਲਣ ਵਾਂਙੁ ਬਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

3. For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
|
|
4. ਘਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਿਆ।

4. My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
|
|
5. ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਾਹਣੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।

5. By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
|
|
6. ਮੈਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਲੰਮਢੀਂਗ ਦੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਹੋਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿਰਾਨੇ ਦਾ ਉੱਲੂ ਬਣਿਆ!

6. I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
|
|
7. ਮੈਂ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਚਿੜੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਣਿਆ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਛੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

7. I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
|
|
8. ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਲਾਂਭੇ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਾਨੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਫਿਟਕਾਰਾਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

8. Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
|
|
9. ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਵਾਂਙੁ ਸੁਆਹ ਫੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੀਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਝੂ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

9. For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
|
|
10. ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੈਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਪਟਕਾ ਕੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ!

10. Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
|
|
11. ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਢਲਦੇ ਸਾਯੇ ਵਾਂਙੁ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਘਾਹ ਵਾਂਙੁ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।।

11. My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
|
|
12. ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਦਾ ਤੀਕ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਓ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਤੀਕ!

12. But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
|
|
13. ਤੂੰ ਉੱਠੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਮ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤਰਸ ਖਾਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੇਲਾ ਆ ਪੁੱਜਿਆ ਹੈ।

13. Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
|
|
14. ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥੇਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

14. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
|
|
15. ਇਉਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਭੈ ਖਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਤੋਂ।

15. So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
|
|
16. ਜਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ।
|
16. When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
|
|
17. ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲਾਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਨਾ ਜਾਤਾ।।
|
17. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
|
|
18. ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਲਈ ਲਿਖੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰੇਗੀ।।

18. This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
|
|
19. ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਦੀ ਉਚਿਆਈ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਡਿੱਠਾ ਹੈ,
|
19. For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
|
|
20. ਭਈ ਅਸੀਰ ਦਾ ਹਾਹੁਕਾ ਸੁਣੇ, ਅਤੇ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਵੇ,
|
20. To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
|
|
21. ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ,
|
21. To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
|
|
22. ਜਦ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਰਜਵਾੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਣ।।
|
22. When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
|
|
23. ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਯੂ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਇਆ।
|
23. He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
|
|
24. ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੀ ਅੱਧੀ ਆਯੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਠਾ ਨਾ ਲੈ, ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਓ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ!
|
24. I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
|
|
25. ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਹੀ ਤੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਧਰੀ, ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਹੈ।
|
25. Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
|
|
26. ਓਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਅਟਲ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ, ਓਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਾਂਙੁ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਦੀ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਬਦਲ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ, ਸੋ ਓਹ ਬਦਲ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਗੇ!
|
26. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
|
|
27. ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਮੁੱਕਣਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ।
|
27. But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
|
|
28. ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਵੱਸੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਸਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹੇਗੀ।।
|
28. The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
