2. And he brought me out by the way of the northern gate, and he led me round by the way outside to the gate of the court that looks eastward; and, behold, water came down from the right side,

3. Or, at the same time that in the direction in which a man went forth opposite; and there was a measuring line in his hand, and he measured a thousand cubits with the measure;

6. And he said to me, Hast thou seen this, son of man? Then he brought me, and led me back to the brink of the river

7. as I returned; and, behold, on the brink of the river there were very many trees on this side and on that side.

8. And he said to me, This is the water that goes forth to Galilee that lies eastward, and it is gone down to Arabia, and has reached as far as to the sea to the outlet of the water: and it shall heal the waters.

And it shall come to pass, that every animal of living and moving creatures, all on which the river shall come, shall live: and there shall be there very many fish; for this water Gr. comes, or, is come shall go thither, and it shall heal them, and they shall live: everything on which the river shall come shall live.

10. And fishers shall stand there from Ingadin to Enagallim; it shall be a place to spread out nets upon; it shall be distinct; and the fishes thereof shall be as the fishes of the great sea, a very great multitude.

11. But at the outlet of the water, and the turn of it, and where it overflows its banks, they shall not heal at all; they are given to salt.

11. But the miry places H1207 thereof and the marshes H1360 thereof shall not H3808 be healed H7495 ; they shall be given H5414 to salt H4417 .

|
12. And every fruit tree shall grow by the river, even on the bank of it on this side and on that side: Gr. singular they shall not decay upon it, neither shall their fruit fail: they shall bring forth the first-fruit Gr. of its newness; See Hebrew of their early crop, for these their waters come forth of the sanctuary: and their fruit shall be for meat, and their foliage for health.

13. Thus saith the Lord God; Ye shall inherit these borders of the land; Gr. they are the addition of a line they are given by lot to the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

14. And ye shall inherit it, each according to his brother’s portion, even the land concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it to your fathers: and this land shall fall to you by lot.

16. Maabthera, Ebrameliam, between the coasts of Damascus and the coasts of Emathi, the habitation of Saunan, which places are above the coasts of Auranitis.

16. Hamath H2574 , Berothah H1268 , Sibraim H5453 , which H834 is between H996 the border H1366 of Damascus H1834 and the border H1366 of Hamath H2574 ; Hazarhatticon H2694 , which H834 is by H413 the coast H1366 of Hauran H2362 .

|
17. These are the borders from the sea, from the habitations of Ænan, the coasts of Damascus, and the northern coasts.
|
17. And the border H1366 from H4480 the sea H3220 shall be H1961 Hazar H2703 -enan , the border H1366 of Damascus H1834 , and the north H6828 northward H6828 , and the border H1366 of Hamath H2574 . And this is the north H6828 side H6285 .

|
18. And the eastern coasts between Loranitis, and Damascus, and the land of Galaad, and the land of Israel, Alex. +’and the border of Amath shall be the northern border’ the Jordan divides to the sea that is east of the city of palm-trees. These are the eastern coasts.

18. And the east H6921 side H6285 ye shall measure H4058 from H4480 H996 Hauran H2362 , and from H4480 H996 Damascus H1834 , and from H4480 H996 Gilead H1568 , and from H4480 H996 the land H776 of Israel H3478 by Jordan H3383 , from the border H4480 H1366 unto H5921 the east H6931 sea H3220 . And this is the east H6921 side H6285 .

19. And the southern and south-western coasts are from Thaeman and the city of palm-trees, to the water of Marimoth Cadem, reaching forth to the great sea. This part is the south and south-west.
|
19. And the south H5045 side H6285 southward H8486 , from Tamar H4480 H8559 even to H5704 the waters H4325 of strife H4809 in Kadesh H6946 , the river H5158 to H413 the great H1419 sea H3220 . And this is the south H8486 side H6285 southward H5045 .

|
20. This part of the great sea forms a border, till one comes opposite the entrance of Emath, even as far as the entrance thereof. These are the parts west of Emath.
|
20. The west H3220 side H6285 also shall be the great H1419 sea H3220 from the border H4480 H1366 , till H5704 a man come H935 over against H5227 Hamath H2574 . This H2063 is the west H3220 side H6285 .
|
|
21. So ye shall divide this land to them, even to the tribes of Israel.
|
21. So shall ye divide H2505 H853 this H2063 land H776 unto you according to the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 .
|
|
22. Lit. Ye shall cast it; i. e. measure it my lot Ye shall cast the lot upon it, for yourselves and the strangers that sojourn in the midst of you, who have begotten children in the midst of you: and they shall be to you as natives among the children of Israel; they shall eat with you in their inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Israel.

And it shall come to pass H1961 , that ye shall divide it by lot H5307 H853 for an inheritance H5159 unto you , and to the strangers H1616 that sojourn H1481 among H8432 you, which H834 shall beget H3205 children H1121 among H8432 you : and they shall be H1961 unto you as born in the country H249 among the children H1121 of Israel H3478 ; they shall have H5307 inheritance H5159 with H854 you among H8432 the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 .

23. And they shall be in the tribe of proselytes among the proselytes that are with them: there shall ye give them an inheritance, saith the Lord God.

23. And it shall come to pass H1961 , that in what H834 tribe H7626 the stranger H1616 sojourneth H1481 , there H854 H8033 shall ye give H5414 him his inheritance H5159 , saith H5002 the Lord H136 GOD H3069 .
