Genesis 34:30
30
And
Jacob
said
to
Simeon
and
Levi,
Ye
have
troubled
me
to
make
me
to
stink
among
the
inhabitants
of
the
land,
among
the
Canaanites
and
the
Perizzites:
and
I
being
few
in
number,
they
shall
gather
themselves
together
against
me,
and
slay
me;
and
I
shall
be
destroyed,
I
and
my
house.

1
When
the
LORD
thy
God
shall
bring
thee
into
the
land
whither
thou
goest
to
possess
it,
and
hath
cast
out
many
nations
before
thee,
the
Hittites,
and
the
Girgashites,
and
the
Amorites,
and
the
Canaanites,
and
the
Perizzites,
and
the
Hivites,
and
the
Jebusites,
seven
nations
greater
and
mightier
than
thou;
2
And
when
the
LORD
thy
God
shall
deliver
them
before
thee;
thou
shalt
smite
them,
and
utterly
destroy
them;
thou
shalt
make
no
covenant
with
them,
nor
shew
mercy
unto
them:
3
Neither
shalt
thou
make
marriages
with
them;
thy
daughter
thou
shalt
not
give
unto
his
son,
nor
his
daughter
shalt
thou
take
unto
thy
son.
4
For
they
will
turn
away
thy
son
from
following
me,
that
they
may
serve
other
gods:
so
will
the
anger
of
the
LORD
be
kindled
against
you,
and
destroy
thee
suddenly.
5
But
thus
shall
ye
deal
with
them;
ye
shall
destroy
their
altars,
and
break
down
their
images,
and
cut
down
their
groves,
and
burn
their
graven
images
with
fire.
6
For
thou
art
an
holy
people
unto
the
LORD
thy
God:
the
LORD
thy
God
hath
chosen
thee
to
be
a
special
people
unto
himself,
above
all
people
that
are
upon
the
face
of
the
earth.
7
The
LORD
did
not
set
his
love
upon
you,
nor
choose
you,
because
ye
were
more
in
number
than
any
people;
for
ye
were
the
fewest
of
all
people:
8
But
because
the
LORD
loved
you,
and
because
he
would
keep
the
oath
which
he
had
sworn
unto
your
fathers,
hath
the
LORD
brought
you
out
with
a
mighty
hand,
and
redeemed
you
out
of
the
house
of
bondmen,
from
the
hand
of
Pharaoh
king
of
Egypt.
9
Know
therefore
that
the
LORD
thy
God,
he
is
God,
the
faithful
God,
which
keepeth
covenant
and
mercy
with
them
that
love
him
and
keep
his
commandments
to
a
thousand
generations;
10
And
repayeth
them
that
hate
him
to
their
face,
to
destroy
them:
he
will
not
be
slack
to
him
that
hateth
him,
he
will
repay
him
to
his
face.
11
Thou
shalt
therefore
keep
the
commandments,
and
the
statutes,
and
the
judgments,
which
I
command
thee
this
day,
to
do
them.
12
Wherefore
it
shall
come
to
pass,
if
ye
hearken
to
these
judgments,
and
keep,
and
do
them,
that
the
LORD
thy
God
shall
keep
unto
thee
the
covenant
and
the
mercy
which
he
sware
unto
thy
fathers:
13
And
he
will
love
thee,
and
bless
thee,
and
multiply
thee:
he
will
also
bless
the
fruit
of
thy
womb,
and
the
fruit
of
thy
land,
thy
corn,
and
thy
wine,
and
thine
oil,
the
increase
of
thy
kine,
and
the
flocks
of
thy
sheep,
in
the
land
which
he
sware
unto
thy
fathers
to
give
thee.
14
Thou
shalt
be
blessed
above
all
people:
there
shall
not
be
male
or
female
barren
among
you,
or
among
your
cattle.
15
And
the
LORD
will
take
away
from
thee
all
sickness,
and
will
put
none
of
the
evil
diseases
of
Egypt,
which
thou
knowest,
upon
thee;
but
will
lay
them
upon
all
them
that
hate
thee.
16
And
thou
shalt
consume
all
the
people
which
the
LORD
thy
God
shall
deliver
thee;
thine
eye
shall
have
no
pity
upon
them:
neither
shalt
thou
serve
their
gods;
for
that
will
be
a
snare
unto
thee.
17
If
thou
shalt
say
in
thine
heart,
These
nations
are
more
than
I;
how
can
I
dispossess
them?
18
Thou
shalt
not
be
afraid
of
them:
but
shalt
well
remember
what
the
LORD
thy
God
did
unto
Pharaoh,
and
unto
all
Egypt;
19
The
great
temptations
which
thine
eyes
saw,
and
the
signs,
and
the
wonders,
and
the
mighty
hand,
and
the
stretched
out
arm,
whereby
the
LORD
thy
God
brought
thee
out:
so
shall
the
LORD
thy
God
do
unto
all
the
people
of
whom
thou
art
afraid.
20
Moreover
the
LORD
thy
God
will
send
the
hornet
among
them,
until
they
that
are
left,
and
hide
themselves
from
thee,
be
destroyed.
21
Thou
shalt
not
be
affrighted
at
them:
for
the
LORD
thy
God
is
among
you,
a
mighty
God
and
terrible.
22
And
the
LORD
thy
God
will
put
out
those
nations
before
thee
by
little
and
little:
thou
mayest
not
consume
them
at
once,
lest
the
beasts
of
the
field
increase
upon
thee.
23
But
the
LORD
thy
God
shall
deliver
them
unto
thee,
and
shall
destroy
them
with
a
mighty
destruction,
until
they
be
destroyed.
24
And
he
shall
deliver
their
kings
into
thine
hand,
and
thou
shalt
destroy
their
name
from
under
heaven:
there
shall
no
man
be
able
to
stand
before
thee,
until
thou
have
destroyed
them.
25
The
graven
images
of
their
gods
shall
ye
burn
with
fire:
thou
shalt
not
desire
the
silver
or
gold
that
is
on
them,
nor
take
it
unto
thee,
lest
thou
be
snared
therein:
for
it
is
an
abomination
to
the
LORD
thy
God.
26
Neither
shalt
thou
bring
an
abomination
into
thine
house,
lest
thou
be
a
cursed
thing
like
it:
but
thou
shalt
utterly
detest
it,
and
thou
shalt
utterly
abhor
it;
for
it
is
a
cursed
thing.

5
But

1
When
the
LORD
your
God
shall
bring
you
into
the
land
where
you
go
to
possess
it,
and
has
cast
out
many
nations
before
you,
the
Hittites,
and
the
Girgashites,
and
the
Amorites,
and
the
Canaanites,
and
the
Perizzites,
and
the
Hivites,
and
the
Jebusites,
seven
nations
greater
and
mightier
than
you;
2
And
when
the
LORD
your
God
shall
deliver
them
before
you;
you
shall
smite
them,
and
utterly
destroy
them;
you
shall
make
no
covenant
with
them,
nor
show
mercy
to
them:
3
Neither
shall
you
make
marriages
with
them;
your
daughter
you
shall
not
give
to
his
son,
nor
his
daughter
shall
you
take
to
your
son.
4
For
they
will
turn
away
your
son
from
following
me,
that
they
may
serve
other
gods:
so
will
the
anger
of
the
LORD
be
kindled
against
you,
and
destroy
you
suddenly.
5
But
thus
shall
you
deal
with
them;
you
shall
destroy
their
altars,
and
break
down
their
images,
and
cut
down
their
groves,
and
burn
their
graven
images
with
fire.
6
For
you
are
an
holy
people
to
the
LORD
your
God:
the
LORD
your
God
has
chosen
you
to
be
a
special
people
to
himself,
above
all
people
that
are
on
the
face
of
the
earth.
7
The
LORD
did
not
set
his
love
on
you,
nor
choose
you,
because
you
were
more
in
number
than
any
people;
for
you
were
the
fewest
of
all
people:
8
But
because
the
LORD
loved
you,
and
because
he
would
keep
the
oath
which
he
had
sworn
to
your
fathers,
has
the
LORD
brought
you
out
with
a
mighty
hand,
and
redeemed
you
out
of
the
house
of
slaves,
from
the
hand
of
Pharaoh
king
of
Egypt.
9
Know
therefore
that
the
LORD
your
God,
he
is
God,
the
faithful
God,
which
keeps
covenant
and
mercy
with
them
that
love
him
and
keep
his
commandments
to
a
thousand
generations;
10
And
repays
them
that
hate
him
to
their
face,
to
destroy
them:
he
will
not
be
slack
to
him
that
hates
him,
he
will
repay
him
to
his
face.
11
You
shall
therefore
keep
the
commandments,
and
the
statutes,
and
the
judgments,
which
I
command
you
this
day,
to
do
them.
12
Why
it
shall
come
to
pass,
if
you
listen
to
these
judgments,
and
keep,
and
do
them,
that
the
LORD
your
God
shall
keep
to
you
the
covenant
and
the
mercy
which
he
swore
to
your
fathers:
13
And
he
will
love
you,
and
bless
you,
and
multiply
you:
he
will
also
bless
the
fruit
of
your
womb,
and
the
fruit
of
your
land,
your
corn,
and
your
wine,
and
your
oil,
the
increase
of
your
cows,
and
the
flocks
of
your
sheep,
in
the
land
which
he
swore
to
your
fathers
to
give
you.
14
You
shall
be
blessed
above
all
people:
there
shall
not
be
male
or
female
barren
among
you,
or
among
your
cattle.
15
And
the
LORD
will
take
away
from
you
all
sickness,
and
will
put
none
of
the
evil
diseases
of
Egypt,
which
you
know,
on
you;
but
will
lay
them
on
all
them
that
hate
you.
16
And
you
shall
consume
all
the
people
which
the
LORD
your
God
shall
deliver
you;
your
eye
shall
have
no
pity
on
them:
neither
shall
you
serve
their
gods;
for
that
will
be
a
snare
to
you.
17
If
you
shall
say
in
your
heart,
These
nations
are
more
than
I;
how
can
I
dispossess
them?
18
You
shall
not
be
afraid
of
them:
but
shall
well
remember
what
the
LORD
your
God
did
to
Pharaoh,
and
to
all
Egypt;
19
The
great
temptations
which
your
eyes
saw,
and
the
signs,
and
the
wonders,
and
the
mighty
hand,
and
the
stretched
out
arm,
whereby
the
LORD
your
God
brought
you
out:
so
shall
the
LORD
your
God
do
to
all
the
people
of
whom
you
are
afraid.
20
Moreover
the
LORD
your
God
will
send
the
hornet
among
them,
until
they
that
are
left,
and
hide
themselves
from
you,
be
destroyed.
21
You
shall
not
be
affrighted
at
them:
for
the
LORD
your
God
is
among
you,
a
mighty
God
and
terrible.
22
And
the
LORD
your
God
will
put
out
those
nations
before
you
by
little
and
little:
you
may
not
consume
them
at
once,
lest
the
beasts
of
the
field
increase
on
you.
23
But
the
LORD
your
God
shall
deliver
them
to
you,
and
shall
destroy
them
with
a
mighty
destruction,
until
they
be
destroyed.
24
And
he
shall
deliver
their
kings
into
your
hand,
and
you
shall
destroy
their
name
from
under
heaven:
there
shall
no
man
be
able
to
stand
before
you,
until
you
have
destroyed
them.
25
The
graven
images
of
their
gods
shall
you
burn
with
fire:
you
shall
not
desire
the
silver
or
gold
that
is
on
them,
nor
take
it
to
you,
lest
you
be
snared
therein:
for
it
is
an
abomination
to
the
LORD
your
God.
26
Neither
shall
you
bring
an
abomination
into
your
house,
lest
you
be
a
cursed
thing
like
it:
but
you
shall
utterly
detest
it,
and
you
shall
utterly
abhor
it;
for
it
is
a
cursed
thing.

When
the
LORD
your
God
brings
you
to
the
land
that
you
are
going
to
occupy
and
forces
out
many
nations
before
you—
Hittites,
Girgashites,
Amorites,
Canaanites,
Perizzites,
Hivites,
and
Jebusites,
seven
nations
more
numerous
and
powerful
than
you—
2
and
he
delivers
them
over
to
you
and
you
attack
them,
you
must
utterly
annihilate
them.
Make
no
treaty
with
them
and
show
them
no
mercy!
3
You
must
not
intermarry
with
them.
Do
not
give
your
daughters
to
their
sons
or
take
their
daughters
for
your
sons,
4
for
they
will
turn
your
sons
away
from
me
to
worship
other
gods.
Then
the
anger
of
the
LORD
will
erupt
against
you
and
he
will
quickly
destroy
you.
5
Instead,
this
is
what
you
must
do
to
them:
You
must
tear
down
their
altars,
shatter
their
sacred
pillars,
cut
down
their
sacred
Asherah
poles,
and
burn
up
their
idols.
6
For
you
are
a
people
holy
to
the
LORD
your
God.
He
has
chosen
you
to
be
his
people,
prized
above
all
others
on
the
face
of
the
earth.
7
It
is
not
because
you
were
more
numerous
than
all
the
other
peoples
that
the
LORD
favored
and
chose
you—
for
in
fact
you
were
the
least
numerous
of
all
peoples.
8
Rather
it
is
because
of
his
love
for
you
and
his
faithfulness
to
the
promise
he
solemnly
vowed
to
your
ancestors
that
the
LORD
brought
you
out
with
great
power,
redeeming
you
from
the
place
of
slavery,
from
the
power
of
Pharaoh
king
of
Egypt.
9
So
realize
that
the
LORD
your
God
is
the
true
God,
the
faithful
God
who
keeps
covenant
faithfully
with
those
who
love
him
and
keep
his
commandments,
to
a
thousand
generations,
10
but
who
pays
back
those
who
hate
him
as
they
deserve
and
destroys
them.
He
will
not
ignore
those
who
hate
him
but
will
repay
them
as
they
deserve!
11
So
keep
the
commandments,
statutes,
and
ordinances
that
I
today
am
commanding
you
to
do.
12
If
you
obey
these
ordinances
and
are
careful
to
do
them,
the
LORD
your
God
will
faithfully
keep
covenant
with
you
as
he
promised
your
ancestors.
13
He
will
love
and
bless
you,
and
make
you
numerous.
He
will
bless
you
with
many
children,
with
the
produce
of
your
soil,
your
grain,
your
new
wine,
your
oil,
the
offspring
of
your
oxen,
and
the
young
of
your
flocks
in
the
land
which
he
promised
your
ancestors
to
give
you.
14
You
will
be
blessed
beyond
all
peoples;
there
will
be
no
barrenness
among
you
or
your
livestock.
15
The
LORD
will
protect
you
from
all
sickness,
and
you
will
not
experience
any
of
the
terrible
diseases
that
you
knew
in
Egypt;
instead
he
will
inflict
them
on
all
those
who
hate
you.
16
You
must
destroy
all
the
people
whom
the
LORD
your
God
is
about
to
deliver
over
to
you;
you
must
not
pity
them
or
worship
their
gods,
for
that
will
be
a
snare
to
you.
17
If
you
think,
"These
nations
are
more
numerous
than
I—
how
can
I
dispossess
them?"
18
you
must
not
fear
them.
You
must
carefully
recall
what
the
LORD
your
God
did
to
Pharaoh
and
all
Egypt,
19
the
great
judgments
you
saw,
the
signs
and
wonders,
the
strength
and
power
by
which
he
brought
you
out—
thus
the
LORD
your
God
will
do
to
all
the
people
you
fear.
20
Furthermore,
the
LORD
your
God
will
release
hornets
among
them
until
the
very
last
ones
who
hide
from
you
perish.
21
You
must
not
tremble
in
their
presence,
for
the
LORD
your
God,
who
is
present
among
you,
is
a
great
and
awesome
God.
22
He,
the
God
who
leads
you,
will
expel
the
nations
little
by
little.
You
will
not
be
allowed
to
destroy
them
all
at
once
lest
the
wild
animals
overrun
you.
23
The
LORD
your
God
will
give
them
over
to
you;
he
will
throw
them
into
a
great
panic
until
they
are
destroyed.
24
He
will
hand
over
their
kings
to
you
and
you
will
erase
their
very
names
from
memory.
Nobody
will
be
able
to
resist
you
until
you
destroy
them.
25
You
must
burn
the
images
of
their
gods,
but
do
not
covet
the
silver
and
gold
that
covers
them
so
much
that
you
take
it
for
yourself
and
thus
become
ensnared
by
it;
for
it
is
abhorrent
to
the
LORD
your
God.
26
You
must
not
bring
any
abhorrent
thing
into
your
house
and
thereby
become
an
object
of
divine
wrath
along
with
it.
You
must
absolutely
detest
and
abhor
it,
for
it
is
an
object
of
divine
wrath.

your
sheep
with
lambs.
You
will
have
all
these
blessings
in
the
land
that
he
promised
your
ancestors
to
give
you.
14
"You
will
be
blessed
more
than
all
people.
Every
husband
and
wife
will
be
able
to
have
children.
Your
cows
will
be
able
to
have
calves.
15
The
Lord
will
take
away
all
sickness
from
you
and
he
will
not
let
you
catch
any
of
the
terrible
diseases
that
you
had
in
Egypt.
But
he
will
make
your
enemies
catch
those
diseases.
16
You
must
destroy
all
the
people
the
Lord
your
God
helps
you
defeat.
Don't
feel
sorry
for
them,
and
don't
worship
their
gods!
They
will
trap
you—they
will
ruin
your
life.
17
"Don't
say
in
your
heart,
'These
nations
are
stronger
than
we
are.
How
can
we
force
them
out?'
18
You
must
not
be
afraid
of
them.
You
must
remember
what
the
Lord
your
God
did
to
Pharaoh
and
to
all
the
people
of
Egypt.
19
You
saw
the
great
troubles
he
gave
them
and
the
amazing
things
he
did.
You
saw
the
Lord
use
his
great
power
and
strength
to
bring
you
out
of
Egypt.
The
Lord
your
God
will
use
that
same
power
against
all
the
people
you
fear.
20
"The
Lord
your
God
will
send
the
hornet
against
them.
He
will
do
this
until
he
destroys
all
the
people
who
escaped
and
tried
to
hide.
21
Don't
be
afraid
of
them,
because
the
Lord
your
God
is
with
you.
He
is
a
great
and
awesome
God.
22
The
Lord
your
God
will
force
those
nations
to
leave
your
country
little
by
little.
You
will
not
destroy
them
all
at
once.
If
you
did,
the
wild
animals
would
grow
to
be
too
many
for
you.
23
But
the
Lord
your
God
will
let
you
defeat
those
nations.
He
will
confuse
them
in
battle,
until
they
are
destroyed.
24
The
Lord
will
help
you
defeat
their
kings.
You
will
kill
them,
and
the
world
will
forget
they
ever
lived.
No
one
will
be
able
to
stop
you.
You
will
destroy
them
all!
25
"You
must
throw
the
statues
of
their
gods
into
the
fire
and
burn
them.
You
must
not
want
to
keep
the
silver
or
the
gold
that
is
on
those
statues
for
yourselves.
It
will
be
like
a
trap
to
you—it
will
ruin
your
life.
The
Lord
your
God
hates
those
idols.
26
You
must
not
bring
any
of
those
disgusting
idols
into
your
homes,
or
you
will
be
destroyed
just
as
they
will
be.
You
must
treat
them
as
the
disgusting
things
they
are!
They
are
to
be
destroyed.
Hebrews 11:9

Abraham
lived
in
the
country
that
God
promised
to
give
him.
He
lived
there
like
a
visitor
who
did
not
belong.
He
did
this
because
he
had
faith.
He
lived
in
tents
with
Isaac
and
Jacob,
who
also
received
the
same
promise
from
God.

Ye
have
made
me
hateful
so
that
I
should
be
evil
to
all
the
inhabitants

the
land,
both
among
the
Chananites
and
the
Pherezites,
and
I
am
few
in
number;
they

and
cut
me
in

I

and
my
house.

And
when
the
Lord
thy
God
shall
bring
thee
into
the
land,
into
which
thou
goest
to
possess
it,
and
shall
remove
great
nations
from
before
thee,
the
Chettite,
and
Gergesite,
and
Amorite,
and
Chananite,
and
Pherezite,
and
Evite,
and
Jebusite,
seven
nations
more
numerous
and
stronger
than
you,
2
and
the
Lord
thy
God
shall
deliver
them
into
thy
hands,
then
thou
shalt
smite
them:
thou
shalt
utterly
destroy
them:
thou
shalt
not
make
a
covenant
with
them,
neither
shall
ye
pity
them:
3
neither
shall
ye
contract
marriages
with
them:
thou
shalt
not
give
thy
daughter
to
his
son,
and
thou
shalt
not
take
his
daughter
to
thy
son.
4
For
he
will
draw
away
thy
son
from
me,
and
he
will
serve
other
gods;
and
the
Lord
will
be
very
angry
with
you,
and
will
soon
utterly
destroy
thee.
5
But
thus
shall
ye
do
to
them;
ye
shall
destroy
their
altars,
and
shall
break
down
their
pillars,
and
shall
cut
down
their
groves,
and
shall
burn
with
fire
the
graven
images
of
their
gods.
6
For
thou
art
a
holy
people
to
the
Lord
thy
God;
and
the
Lord
thy
God
chose
thee
to
be
to
him
a
peculiar
people
beyond
all
nations
that
are
upon
the
face
of
the
earth.
7
It
was
not
because
ye
are
more
numerous
than
all
other
nations
that
the
Lord
preferred
you,
and
the
Lord
made
choice
of
you:
for
ye
are
fewer
in
number
than
all
other
nations.
8
But
because
the
Lord
loved
you,
and
as
keeping
the
oath
which
he
sware
to
your
fathers,
the
Lord
brought
you
out
with
a
strong
hand,
and
the
Lord
redeemed
thee
from
the
house
of
bondage,
out
of
the
hand
of
Pharao
king
of
Egypt.
9
Thou
shalt
know
therefore,
that
the
Lord
thy
God,
he
is
God,
a
faithful
God,
who
keeps
covenant
and
mercy
for
them
that
love
him,
and
for
those
that
keep
his
commandments
to
a
thousand
generations,
10
and
who
recompenses
them
that
hate
him
to
their
face,
to
destroy
them
utterly;
and
will
not
be
slack
with
them
that
hate
him:
he
will
recompense
them
to
their
face.
11
Thou
shalt
keep
therefore
the
commands,
and
the
ordinances,
and
these
judgements,
which
I
command
thee
this
day
to
do.
12
And
it
shall
come
to
pass
when
ye
shall
have
heard
these
ordinances,
and
shall
have
kept
and
done
them,
that
the
Lord
thy
God
shall
keep
for
thee
the
covenant
and
the
mercy,
which
he
sware
to
your
fathers.
13
And
he
will
love
thee,
and
bless
thee,
and
multiply
thee;
and
he
will
bless
the
off-spring
of
thy
Gr.
belly
body,
and
the
fruit
of
thy
land,
thy
corn,
and
thy
wine,
and
thine
oil,
the
herds
of
thine
oxen,
and
the
flocks
of
thy
sheep,
on
the
land
which
the
Lord
sware
to
thy
fathers
to
give
to
thee.
14
Thou
shalt
be
blessed
beyond
all
nations;
there
shall
not
be
among
you
an
impotent
or
barren
one,
Gr.
and
or
among
thy
cattle.
15
And
the
Lord
thy
God
shall
remove
from
thee
all
sickness;
and
none
of
the
evil
diseases
of
Egypt,
which
thou
hast
seen,
and
all
that
thou
hast
known,
will
he
lay
upon
thee;
but
he
will
lay
them
upon
all
that
hate
thee.
16
And
thou
shalt
eat
all
the
spoils
of
the
nations
which
the
Lord
thy
God
gives
thee;
thine
eye
shall
not
spare
them,
and
thou
shalt
not
serve
their
gods;
for
this
is
an
offence
to
thee.
17
But
if
thou
shouldest
say
in
thine
heart,
This
nation
is
Gr.
more
greater
than
I,
how
shall
I
be
able
to
destroy
them
utterly?
18
thou
shalt
not
fear
them;
thou
shalt
surely
remember
all
that
the
Lord
thy
God
did
to
Pharao
and
to
all
the
Egyptians:
19
the
great
temptations
which
thine
eyes
have
seen,
those
signs
and
great
wonders,
the
strong
hand,
and
the
high
arm;
how
the
Lord
thy
God
brought
thee
forth:
so
the
Lord
your
God
will
do
to
all
the
nations,
whom
thou
fearest
in
their
presence.
20
And
the
Lord
thy
God
shall
send
against
them
the
hornets,
until
they
that
are
left
and
they
that
are
hidden
from
thee
be
utterly
destroyed.
21
Thou
shalt
not
be
wounded
before
them,
because
the
Lord
thy
God
in
the
midst
of
thee
is
a
great
and
powerful
God.
22
And
the
Lord
thy
God
shall
consume
these
nations
before
thee
by
little
and
little:
thou
shalt
not
be
able
to
consume
them
speedily,
lest
the
land
become
desert,
and
the
wild
beasts
of
the
field
be
multiplied
against
thee.
23
And
the
Lord
thy
God
shall
deliver
them
into
thy
hands,
and
thou
shalt
destroy
them
with
a
great
destruction,
until
ye
shall
have
utterly
destroyed
them.
24
And
he
shall
deliver
their
kings
into
your
hands,
and
ye
shall
destroy
their
name
from
that
place;
none
shall
stand
up
in
opposition
before
thee,
until
thou
shalt
have
utterly
destroyed
them.
25
Ye
shall
burn
with
fire
the
graven
images
of
their
gods:
thou
shalt
not
covet
their
silver,
neither
shalt
thou
take
to
thyself
gold
from
them,
lest
thou
shouldest
offend
thereby,
because
it
is
an
abomination
to
the
Lord
thy
God.
26
And
thou
shalt
not
bring
an
abomination
into
thine
house,
so
Gr.
shalt
shouldest
thou
be
an
accursed
thing
like
it;
thou
shalt
utterly
hate
it,
and
altogether
abominate
it,
because
it
is
an
accursed
thing.

to
you
and
you
win
the

against
them,
you
must

all
of

Make
no
agreement
with
them
and
show
no
favor
to
them.
3
Do

Do

And
do

Cut

Asherim.

1
The
Lord
your
God
will
bring
you
into
the
land
that
you
are
entering
and
that
you
will
have
as
your
own.
As
you
go
in,
he
will
force
out
these
nations:
the
Hittites,
Girgashites,
Amorites,
Canaanites,
Perizzites,
Hivites,
and
Jebusites
--
seven
nations
that
are
stronger
than
you.
2
The
Lord
your
God
will
hand
these
nations
over
to
you,
and
when
you
defeat
them,
you
must
destroy
them
completely.
Do
not
make
a
peace
treaty
with
them
or
show
them
any
mercy.
3
Do
not
marry
any
of
them,
or
let
your
daughters
marry
their
sons,
or
let
your
sons
marry
their
daughters.
4
If
you
do,
those
people
will
turn
your
children
away
from
me,
to
begin
serving
other
gods.
Then
the
Lord
will
be
very
angry
with
you,
and
he
will
quickly
destroy
you.
5
This
is
what
you
must
do
to
those
people:
Tear
down
their
altars,
smash
their
holy
stone
pillars,
cut
down
their
Asherah
idols,
and
burn
their
idols
in
the
fire.
6
You
are
holy
people
who
belong
to
the
Lord
your
God.
He
has
chosen
you
from
all
the
people
on
earth
to
be
his
very
own.
7
The
Lord
did
not
care
for
you
and
choose
you
because
there
were
many
of
you
--
you
are
the
smallest
nation
of
all.
8
But
the
Lord
chose
you
because
he
loved
you,
and
he
kept
his
promise
to
your
ancestors.
So
he
brought
you
out
of
Egypt
by
his
great
power
and
freed
you
from
the
land
of
slavery,
from
the
power
of
the
king
of
Egypt.
9
So
know
that
the
Lord
your
God
is
God,
the
faithful
God.
He
will
keep
his
agreement
of
love
for
a
thousand
lifetimes
for
people
who
love
him
and
obey
his
commands.
10
But
he
will
pay
back
those
people
who
hate
him.
He
will
destroy
them,
and
he
will
not
be
slow
to
pay
back
those
who
hate
him.
11
So
be
careful
to
obey
the
commands,
rules,
and
laws
I
give
you
today.
12
If
you
pay
attention
to
these
laws
and
obey
them
carefully,
the
Lord
your
God
will
keep
his
agreement
and
show
his
love
to
you,
as
he
promised
your
ancestors.
13
He
will
love
and
bless
you.
He
will
make
the
number
of
your
people
grow;
he
will
bless
you
with
children.
He
will
bless
your
fields
with
good
crops
and
will
give
you
grain,
new
wine,
and
oil.
He
will
bless
your
herds
with
calves
and
your
flocks
with
lambs
in
the
land
he
promised
your
ancestors
he
would
give
you.
14
You
will
be
blessed
more
than
any
other
people.
Every
husband
and
wife
will
have
children,
and
all
your
cattle
will
have
calves.
15
The
Lord
will
take
away
all
disease
from
you;
you
will
not
have
the
terrible
diseases
that
were
in
Egypt,
but
he
will
give
them
to
all
the
people
who
hate
you.
16
You
must
destroy
all
the
people
the
Lord
your
God
hands
over
to
you.
Do
not
feel
sorry
for
them,
and
do
not
worship
their
gods,
or
they
will
trap
you.
17
You
might
say
to
yourselves,
"Because
these
nations
are
stronger
than
we
are,
we
can't
force
them
out."
18
But
don't
be
afraid
of
them.
Remember
what
the
Lord
your
God
did
to
all
of
Egypt
and
its
king.
19
You
saw
for
yourselves
the
troubles,
signs,
and
miracles
he
did,
how
the
Lord's
great
power
and
strength
brought
you
out
of
Egypt.
The
Lord
your
God
will
do
the
same
thing
to
all
the
nations
you
now
fear.
20
The
Lord
your
God
will
also
send
terror
among
them
so
that
even
those
who
are
alive
and
hiding
from
you
will
die.
21
Don't
be
afraid
of
them,
because
the
Lord
your
God
is
with
you;
he
is
a
great
God
and
people
are
afraid
of
him.
22
When
the
Lord
your
God
forces
those
nations
out
of
the
land,
he
will
do
it
little
by
little
ahead
of
you.
You
won't
be
able
to
destroy
them
all
at
once;
otherwise,
the
wild
animals
will
grow
too
many
in
number.
23
But
the
Lord
your
God
will
hand
those
nations
over
to
you,
confusing
them
until
they
are
destroyed.
24
The
Lord
will
help
you
defeat
their
kings,
and
the
world
will
forget
who
they
were.
No
one
will
be
able
to
stop
you;
you
will
destroy
them
all.
25
Burn
up
their
idols
in
the
fire.
Do
not
wish
for
the
silver
and
gold
they
have,
and
don't
take
it
for
yourselves,
or
you
will
be
trapped
by
it.
The
Lord
your
God
hates
it.
26
Do
not
bring
one
of
those
hateful
things
into
your
house,
or
you
will
be
completely
destroyed
along
with
it.
Hate
and
reject
those
things;
they
must
be
completely
destroyed.

you

Jehovah
your
God

chosen
you
to
be
His
own
treasure
out
of
all
the

But
because

Jehovah
has

Because
of
this,
know
that
Jehovah
your
God,
He
is
God,
the
faithful
God,
keeping
the
covenant
and
mercy
to
those
who
love
Him,

And
you
shall
keep
the
commandments,
and
the
statutes,
and
the
ordinances
which
I
am
commanding
you
today,
to
do
them.
12
And
it
shall
be,
because
you
hear
judgments,
and
keep
and
do
them,
even
Jehovah
your
God
will
keep
with
you
the
covenant
and
the
mercy
which
He
swore
to
your
fathers.
13
And
He
will
love
you,
and
bless
you,
and
multiply
you.
He
will
also
bless
the
fruit
of
your
body,
and
the
fruit
of
your
land,
your
grain
and
your
wine
and
your
oil,
the
increase

15
And
Jehovah

any

17
If
you
shall
say
in
your
heart,
These
nations
are
more
plentiful
than
I;
how
can
I
throw
them
out?
18
You
shall
not
be
afraid
of
them;
remembering
you
shall
remember
that
which
Jehovah
your
God
has
done
to
Pharaoh,
and
to
all
Egypt,
19
the
great
trials
which
your
eyes
have
seen,
and
the
miracles,
and
the
wonders
and
the
mighty
hand,
and
the
stretched
out
arm
with
which
Jehovah
your
God
has
brought
you
out.
So
Jehovah
your
God
shall
do
to
all
the
peoples
of
whose
face
you
are
afraid.
20
And
Jehovah
your
God
shall
send
the
hornets
among
them,
until
the
ones
who
are
left
perish,
even
those
who
hide
themselves
from
your
face.
21
You
shall
not
tremble
before
them,
for
Jehovah
your
God
is
among
you,
a
mighty
and
fearful
God.
22
And
Jehovah
your
God
will
clear
out
those
nations
before
you
by
little
and
little.
You
may
not
consume
them
at
once,
lest
the
beasts
of
the
field
increase
upon
you.
23
And
Jehovah
your
God
shall
deliver
them
up
before
you,
and
destroy
them
with
a
great
destruction
until
they
are
exterminated.
24
And
He
shall
give
their
kings
into
your
hand;
and
you
shall
destroy
their
name
from
under
the
heavens.
No
man
shall
be
able
to
stand
before
you
until
you
have
destroyed
them.
25
You
shall
burn
the
carved
images
of
their
gods
with
fire;
and
you
shall
not
lust
after
the
silver
and
gold
on
them,
nor
shall
you
take
it
to
yourself,
that
you
not
be
snared
by
it;
for
it
is
an
abomination
to
Jehovah.
26
And
you
shall
not
bring
an
abomination
into
your
house,
that
you
not
be
a
cursed
thing
like
it.
You
shall
utterly
detest
it,
and
you
shall
utterly
hate
it;
for
it
is
a
cursed
thing.

all
the
peoples
you
fear.
20
The
LORD
your
God
will
also
send
the
hornet
against
them
until
all
the
survivors
and
those
hiding
from
you
perish.
21
Don't
be
terrified
of
them,
for
the
LORD
your
God,
a
great
and
awesome
God,
is
among
you.
22
The
LORD
your
God
will
drive
out
these
nations
before
you
little
by
little.
You
will
not
be
able
to
destroy
them
all
at
once;
otherwise,
the
wild
animals
will
become
too
numerous
for
you.
23
The
LORD
your
God
will
give
them
over
to
you
and
throw
them
into
great
confusion
until
they
are
destroyed.
24
He
will
hand
their
kings
over
to
you,
and
you
will
wipe
out
their
names
under
heaven.
No
one
will
be
able
to
stand
against
you;
you
will
annihilate
them.
25
You
must
burn
up
the
carved
images
of
their
gods.
Don't
covet
the
silver
and
gold
on
the
images
and
take
it
for
yourself,
or
else
you
will
be
ensnared
by
it,
for
it
is
abhorrent
to
the
LORD
your
God.
26
You
must
not
bring
any
abhorrent
thing
into
your
house,
or
you
will
be
set
apart
for
destruction
like
it.
You
are
to
utterly
detest
and
abhor
it,
because
it
is
set
apart
for
destruction.
Hebrews 11:9
9
By
faith
he
stayed
as
a
foreigner
in
the
land
of
promise,
living
in
tents
with
Isaac
and
Jacob,
co-heirs
of
the
same
promise.
